【摘要】:FuelethanolisrequiredtobedenaturedwithgasolineinaccordancewithSpecificationD4806.Stateandfederallawsspecifytheconcentrationofethanolingasolineblends.Thedeterminationoftheamountofdenaturantisimportanttoensuretheblendedfuelcomplieswithfederalandstatelaws.Thistestmethodprovidesamethodofdeterminingthepercentageofethanol(purity)ofthefuelethanolthatisblendedintogasoline.p>1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheethanolcontentofdenaturedfuelethanolbygaschromatography.1.2Ethanolisdeterminedfrom93to97mass%andmethanolisdeterminedfrom0.1to0.6mass%.Equationsusedtoconverttheseindividualalcoholsfrommass%tovolume%areprovided.1.3Thistestmethoddoesidentifyandquantifymethanolbutdoesnotpurporttoidentifyallindividualcomponentsthatmakeupthedenaturant.1.4WatercannotbedeterminedbythistestmethodandshallbemeasuredbyaproceduresuchasTestMethodD1364andtheresultusedtocorrectthechromatographicvalues.1.5Thistestmethodisinappropriateforimpuritiesthatboilattemperatureshigherthan225oCorforimpuritiesthatcausepoorornoresponseinaflameionizationdetector,suchaswater.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse./p>
