【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthesnaggingresistanceofafabric.1.2Studiesoffabricsnagginghaveshownthatthistestmethodissuitableforarangeofwovenandknittedfabricsmadefromtexturedoruntexturedfilamentyarnsorspunyarnsorcombinationsoftheseyarns.,Thistestmethodisnotsuitablefor(1)openconstructionfabrics(suchasanet)becausethepointsonthemacewillsnagthefeltpadratherthanthespecimen,(2)veryheavyorverystifffabricsthatcannotbemadetofittightlyonthedrumandfeltpad,and(3)tuftedornonwovenfabricsbecausetheapparatusisdesignedforwovenandknittedfabrics.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Incaseofrefereedecisions,themetricunitswillprevail.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
